Car honk or birdsong,

Queue long or walk along,

Fat and paunch or fit and strong,

These are the choices we choose from

 

Loud and wild or silent and mild,

Pampered and spoiled or free styled,

Hot and happening or poster child,

Noise or voice, have you reconciled?

 

Trees tall or concrete wall,

Autumn fall or traffic crawl,

In garden with all or shopping mall,

Green or grey, it’s your call!

Born and brought up, he grew in his land, Got wet in the rains, played in its sand, As years passed by, there came a time No money at home, no food to dine. Far away from his home, he found some work Didn’t care for the pain, didn’t feel the jerk, Struggled with time in absolute lurk As few days at home, was his only perk. A war partitioned the country line, Busy with his work, he had no sign While going back home, this issue inclined But no one to help nor listen to his whine.
