Stop using plastic, especially 'smiles'!!
Now-a-days, I am increasingly coming across two types of people.
Type 1:
People who say something, mean something else; do something, intend another; believe something, practice else wise. And every such time, every such person I meet, i remember the concierge in the movie "French Kiss" who smiles only with his eyes but nowhere does it reach the heart. And I so feel like reacting like Kate(Meg Ryan) and saying what she said to the concierge, "It's incredible how you do that. The words come out, "welcome back",but the meaning is completely different. Because when you do that,it just gets underneath my skin and it makes me... completely insane." I anyways hate plastic, especially 'smiles'!!
Why can't people live an honest relationship no matter what it really is - Good, bad, ugly? Being courteous and soft-spoken is one thing, but artificial another. If I am not happy with what one did, i am not happy and can't behave as if nothing happened, i can't fake a smiling, 'happy-go-lucky' face.
But that's probably what people don't like. They are fine with people who behave artificially and say real bad things about them in their absence. And if I happen to know both sides of the coin, I find it difficult to quietly sit and be a mere spectator to this drama.
Am I complicating my life keeping or keeping it simple? I know I don't have to bother what others think,etc...and all that bullshit. But it really matters when others make judgments about you, passing on gossip and create a "Devil wears Prada" image of you when you are actually nothing like that. I am just behaving as I would, naturally.
Type 2:
It really surprises me how people think that getting salary is their birthright, whether they work for it or no. If somebody asks them to do some work, they behave as if they doing a personal favour on you!! For what are these people otherwise there in office to do if not for work???
This reminds of the movie Stigmata which revealed that there was a 5th Gospel which proclaimed that Lord Jesus said it is not the walls and bricks that make a church but the sincere intention of believers to connect and reach him (Fiction or reality not for me to comment on). But I truly believe in the philosophy that one learns and grows because his / her sincere Intention and passion and not because of one is confined to the walls of schools, temples and offices.
The only positive thing I can see is that more the people are like them, better are my job prospects because I love to achieve something every day, I feel extremely excited to tick every point in my 'To do list'.
Last but not the least,
I say what I mean
I do what I intend to
I practice what I believe in
I am what I am
As Katrina says in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, "Life mujhe aise hi surprise karti rahe, inspire karti rahe"!
